I have had Blurb on my computer for several years. I have made several books. My computer with my most recent two books-crashed. These books aren't finished yet. I tried to download Blurb on my new computer, and it didn't recognize that I had any previous books. Is there a way to pull my books back to a new computer? I have really put a lot of work and time into these and I really hope I do not need to start over. I'm hoping for some suggestions and some help. Thank you.

Can you tell me if its possible to upload a book using booksmart or have I got to upload the newer format. I did try that one, but it was much inferior to booksmart so I stayed re down loaded booksmart. That does not seem an option now. If I use the new format will my book be changed over. Far too much work to manually do this. I am very distressed that I have just wasted my time and will be unable to give my Father in law his birthday present in two months time.
I am frustrated as I have made four books before, but when I went to upload my latest book I received a message saying you did not recognize my email or user name. I have tried the listed telephone number to no avail. I am very frustrated that I cannot reach a real person to resolve my problem—which is that my Blurb book was sent to a random person I do not know. First of all, I paid for this book, and secondly, this was a wedding album that was intimate and personal. I have been waiting for days for a real person from Blurb to contact me and help me resolve this issue. Blurb obviously made an error in shipping to a random person. Blurb also owes me a book and I would like to receive that book as soon as possible. It seems important that Blurb develop some kind of Customer Service that allows customers to actually have contact with Blurb staff that can be helpful.
Help has no sense of urgency. It took nearly 12 hours for the 1st response. The response was questions for data which i answer immediately. Then nothing back. I feels like I am just another anonymous request for stupid help and Blurb will get it it when Blurb is ready. There is no ownership of trying to sort the problem. Writing a book is a hobby for everyone - for some of us it is a livelihood - and when it goes wrong it throws the entire creative endeavor into doubt, fear and uncertainty: can my lost work get recovered? do I start over again? is the software a problem? do I change software? How do I know it wont happen again? I am dealing with Juliana Brown and I have no idea where she disappeared to. Perhaps Blurb expect her to handle all help queries and she is trying her best. I do not know. All i know is I have been abandoned with my problems and I have a weekend ahead and no idea where I am with my project, whether to continue, wait, give up.

When I spoke to a customer service rep this morning and explained my problem, they promised me someone would call me back soon. It never happened. I need the book immediately, and paid almost $22. 00 for expedited printing and delivery of a $9. 00 book. Book is apparently lost in the Blurb system (never made it to UPS). Have sent repeated email requests which are supposed to be answered within two hours. Nada. Nor is a "live chat" person available, and I have not been able to get through to a human being for the past four hours, despite repeated attempts. This may be the worst customer service I have ever encountered anywhere. I am going to be severely damaged if this problem is not promptly resolved. You can bet I will never use Blurb again and I would recommend that nobody else does either. There are plenty of alternatives out there and I can not believe they would have service anywhere near as terrible.

No, countless calls and help support emails have been sent. Their front line people are very kind, but my timely book can not be accessed by ANYONE using either their ebook link or the one they provide from Apple. Writers are supposed to be using their time for just that, not dealing with the errors of an online publication company that withholds your months of hard work through their negligence.
I was happy to receive today two copies of my latest book "Havana, Cuba 2014". My joy was short lived after I discovered that only one copy was perfect and in the other copy of the book. The first white page was glued to the next page and after opening the book it tore. The page number 71/72 was folded in three. I am a long time customer of the Blurb and a similar problem occurred only once in 2011 and was quickly fixed. Therefore, I would be grateful for the same quick fix this time as well.
