Pharmaceutical sciences are a sector in which the demand for trained pharmacy professionals has, in the recent years, risen exponentially. With a view to fulfill this nationwide demand, and especially in the state of Himachal Pradesh, LLR Educational Trust has set up L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP at Solan (H.P.) Institute is located in serene mountainous environs, LRIP has wonderful infrastructural facilities. It has well designed modern laboratories richly equipped with apparatus, instruments and machinery required to impart quality professional training to its students. The B. Pharm. curriculum, duly approved by the HPU, includes teaching and laboratory exercises on subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, biotechnology, microbiology, computer sciences and mathematics. Apart from the laboratories and lecture halls, LRIP has a well equipped library and a computer lab.
The L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP has qualified and trained team of faculty to impart quality education to the students. The stress here is on ensuring good lecture room and laboratory practices so that the students are groomed to competent pharmacy professionals capable of meeting the high standards and expectations of pharmaceutical industry and research.

L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP residing on campus enables students to widen their horizon and acquire important inter-personal skills. The Hostel on campus is a miniature society. Here, one will meet people of very different backgrounds and personalities. Contact with hostel-mates is much more intensive than that of the earlier contacts with school classmates. With more interaction comes greater need to adjust and accept, especially with the roommates. One needs to discuss issues of common interest with the roommates to sort out existing problems particularly when opinions are divided. One learns to be tactful and patient and learn to look at things from another person's perspective.
Participating in the management of the hostels also helps one to gain valuable organizational skills. There is really a lot to learn and hostel life forms an integral part of education at the institute campus. L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP campus is spread over an area of 53 bighas of land and is located on the Sultanpur road, off Solan - Rajgarh road.
The sprawling campus is situated in the backdrop of Mountains and is serene. The campus besides housing the teaching blocks of five differend institues i.e. Management, Education, Information Technology, Legal Studies and Education also houses the administrative block, hostels and staff quarters. L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP had its first building in 2006 and today it has a main academic block, a distance education block, three Halls of Residence each for men and women, one post- graduate women's hostel, staff quarters and a well equipped training centre with residential facilities for participants participating in the training programs.
The mission of the L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP is to support and promote academic excellence. Our goal is to provide the latest information necessary to support the college curriculum and the scholarly activities of the students and faculty of the pharmacy Institute.
Another of our goals is to provide fast and efficient service. The college Library staff assists students and faculty with locating pertinent information by using the latest technological techniques. The L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP Library recognizes the campus responsibility to the legal community and the public by providing access to the library's collection. To broaden all patrons' knowledge of the library.
The L R Institute of Pharmacy-LRIP Library has a collection of more than 2000 volumes and is committed to acquiring materials for both the immediate and the long term needs of the college. Emphasis is placed on development of the collections of statutes, legal periodicals, federal and state legislative materials, reports of all federal courts and all state appellate courts, Federal administrative agency materials, specialized looseleaf services, and microforms and treatises which support our mission. The institute came into existence in the year 2006, presently; LRIP is imparting pharmaceutical education at undergraduate level, i.e., B. Pharm. which is a four-year degree course. The Institute has a sanctioned annual intake of 60 students. Candidates having passed 10+2 school examination with science subjects are eligible to seek admission in the Institute.
