National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - NIPER Vaishali was established in 2007 by Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER came up as a center of excellence for higher education and research in pharmaceutical sciences. Currently NIPER Hajipur offers three degrees, M. Pharm. in Pharmacy Practice, M.S. (Pharm) in Biotechnology and Pharmaco informatics. Research project work is an integral part of their intensive training in these specialized subjects. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - NIPER Vaishali is an autonomous institution established under the aegis of Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers at Hajupur, district Vaishali, Bihar It is being set up as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences under Act of Parliament.
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - NIPER Vaishali is presently situated at the Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP), Zandaha Road, Hajipur, Vaishali. NIPER-Hajipur is the first Institute of its kind to be set up at in the State of Bihar Three postgraduate courses have been commenced during the academic session 2007-08. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - NIPER Vaishali will attract students, teachers and research scientists from all over the country. It is an outcome of initiative taken by Government of India with the help of Bihar Government to provide state of art facilities for developing manpower with higher skills R&D services to the pharmaceutical sciences. The college provides Master Degree and Doctoral program to the college students.

Excellent facilities with good no. of journals and equipped with modern gadgets for literature collection and online access to the "Science direct". The house complies with good laboratory practice and has small animals such as Mice, Hamster, rabbits etc. The animal house is well equipped for experimental and pharmaceutical research. The animal house is air conditioned and well protected with environment contamination. The waste disposal procedure is followed and has a provision for incinerator.
The well designed laboratories are available in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - NIPER Vaishali for the students with the necessary infrastructures. Computational centre are present with all modern gadgets including various major software packages. Beside this Seminar hall and auditorium are equipped with modern gadgets for conducting seminars and conferences are available for use for the NIPER programmes. A three days’ workshop on “Advanced Separation Technologies” held on 20-22 February, 2009 for teachers, research Scholars and P.G Students. A three day workshop on “DNA Technology” held on 20–22 March, 2009 for undergraduate students under our programme of inculcating scientific temper among the youth of the state.
