New Law Academy - NLA Pune was established in the year 1994. It is recognized by the Bar Council of India. It is a pre-eminent law institution which plays a unique role in shaping law student's career. New Law Academy - NLA Pune is started by M.C.E. Society. M.C.E. Society i.e. Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society, Pune, the parent Governing body of the college was established in the year 1948, with the objective of providing quality education. M.C.E. Society endeavors to bring education all sections of the society irrespective of religion, caste and creed. It is both a religious and linguistic minority society under the meaning of Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India.

The library is the 'heart' of New Law Academy - NLA Pune & plays an important role in all academic activities and more so in law institutions. The library offers legal database search, Internet and printout facility to the students working on their academic projects and research project. Legal information is at the core of the study and practice of law. For this reason, New Law Academy - NLA Pune is committed to providing a comprehensive, well-managed law library for its students and faculty. The Library provides professional services for day and evening students.
New Law Academy - NLA Pune Library provides resource of authoritative text and reference books, Law reports, Journals & Magazines. Library contains Halsbury’s Laws of England, Halsbury’s Law of India, All England Law Reports, AIR, S.C.C, MhLJ, Cri.L.J, L.L.J, Journal of Indian Law Institute, Indian Bar Review, Company Cases and many more. It also provides access to www.manupatra.com to help the students in their research activities. Apart from these, the ‘Law Super’ database has been added to the computers of New Law Academy - NLA Pune Library for the benefit of the students which contains Full text Central and State Acts and judgments of Supreme Court of India and all High Courts. This also covers certain unreported judgments directly collected from courts. The library of New Law Academy - NLA Pune has CDs related to all related subjects which are available for ready reference for the students.
Taking into consideration the importance of the use of the Internet into academics New Law Academy - NLA Pune provides for a full fledged air conditioned Computer Room for its students. All the Computers are connected to the internet with 256 kbps high speed with fiber optic lines. The computer room provides with online resources like Manupatra and Super Law and Supreme Court Online. Printing facility is also available in the Computer Room.
New Law Academy - NLA Pune has a spacious Moot Court hall in which moot court competitions are held regularly to enable the students to understand and get the experience of court proceedings and to make them aware regarding ethics and etiquettes for legal practice. After giving proper training, students are send to participate in National and International Moot Court Competition. New Law Academy - NLA Pune provides Diploma, Certificate, Bachelor and Master Courses to the academy students.
