Oregon Health Plan, also known as OHP, is a health assistance program (Medicaid) for the people of the US state of Oregon.

History
Oregon Health Plan was introduced in the year 1993. The
Idea to create the health plan was brought by John Albert Kitzhaber, who was serving as the state senator at that time, accompanied by Dr. Ralph Crawshaw, an activist from Portland. The plan focuses on assisting the poor working people. In the year 2008, certain changes were made in the health plan that covers disorder development among young children. According to December, 2013, the health plan serves over 900,000 people living in the state. The basic eligibility to be a member of the plan is that a person must be a citizen of Oregon.
Categories
Oregon Health Plan comes in two categories after February 2003, when the previous plan was updated with changes. Those two categories are "OHP Plus" and "OHP Standard".
