The great educationist revolutionary revered Punjab Kesari Jainacharya Yugveer Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj, taking into consideration last wish of his holy Guru Jainacharya Shrimad Vijayanand Surishwar Ji Maharaj, motivated Ludhiana Jain Samaj to start a night Pathshala by forming Atmanand Jain School Committee and to spread education.. The committee was registered under Society Act 21 of 1861 on 23rd of May, 1934. Under this committee Shri Atmanand Jain Education Board is looking after the institutions. From Night Pathshala it was upgraded to Primary School, High School and ultimately Senior Secondary School. Thousands of students got education from this institution and achieved their goal in different fields such as Politics, Religion, Business, Administration & Academics. In 1966 the Board, considering the need of the society, started a Model School in the name of Shri Atmanand Jain Model School and presently approximate 4,000 students are getting education from both the schools.
The goal has been achieved with the sincere efforts of selfless members of the Board and dedication of the staff. The Board further achieved another mile stone in the field of education and purchased a piece of 6.5 Acres of land at the prominent sight i.e. G.T. Road, Near Amaltas in Village area known as Hussainpura. Construction of the institution known as Shree Atam Valabh Jain College-SAVJC in a record time has been completed and in the Diamond Jubilee year of the institution, it is being presented in the service of humanity in the field of education. The Board is determined to provide best quality education in different technical and professional fields because it is the right time to make our children earn a respectable status in the highly competitive world.
