The objective of the Surya School of Planning and Engineering Management – SSPEM Lucknow is to provide a campus equipped with all modern facilities with well developed laboratories imbibed with other essential amenities that is preferred and an elementary requisite for the students of B.Tech land MBA courses as well along with a flare of perfect blending of veteran faculty members in their respective subjective fields, that would aim at catering to what is required as an assistance to the students at every step of their learning process.
The Surya School of Planning and Engineering Management – SSPEM Lucknow curriculum reformation focuses to the development of technical competency, skills related to communication and management, inculcation of positive attitudes like readiness to face problems and challenges work in well knit teams and employ innovative strategies. A great emphasis is given for self learning and to develop expertise in dedicated softwares. This provides opportunities for the students to get involved in e-learning and to use self learning resources for developing knowledge and understanding in the professional fields. The curriculum also places a high emphasis on large number of departmental electives, open electives and social science subjects to enhance their vision and competence in the areas of their interest.
Surya School of Planning and Engineering Management – SSPEM Lucknow has well furnished group of computer laboratories having 340 P-IV/Core 2 duo computers. Another latest configuration 100 computers are likely to be added very soon. Most of the computers are connected through Microsoft Window XP/Linux operating system. All the relevant Microsoft softwares, namely, Turbo c++, Visual studio, MS Project, MS office and Java are available. Recently, powerful analytical softwares MAT LAB & SIMULINK with a number of tool boxes worth costing Rs. 10.0 Lacs and a CADIAN software have been purchased to cater the need of software based laboratories of curriculum and to help students for preparing quality projects.
The Surya School of Planning and Engineering Management – SSPEM Lucknow library is housed at first and second floors of beautiful round shaped building. The air conditioning of libraries is in process. The libraries have all modern facilities including that of internet, photo copying and scanning. The automation of the Libraries is in process. Surya School of Planning and Engineering Management – SSPEM Lucknow library has book bank facility to facilitate students to have sufficient numbers of quality text books as prescribed in the syllabi of U.P. Technical University. Besides, students have facility to borrow two books at a time. The libraries have open access system. Students are free to select books of their choice. It is planned to develop digital library to enhance e-learning and a self learning facility.
