BBVA Bancomer was commenced in 1932. Initially, it was known as Banco de Comercio. Since 1982, it is operated as nationalized bank. Bancomer had become a private bank in 1991, when many investors had purchased most of bank's shares. The bank was renamed to BBVA Bancomer in 2000. Bancomer is owned by Spanish BBVA Group. It is responsible for approximately 30% of total revenue of the group.
