I have been unable to get proper support for your product for several days now. E-mail does not help the situation. I need to talk with a tech by phone and get my problem resolved quickly. I have been transferring data from my old computer to a new one and now neither one is functioning with Magellan GPS. Cannot download any updates even though there are some to be had. Latest video or e-mail instructions have me look for screens in sequence which do not load as they are supposed to. Obviously there is something wrong and I really need to straighten this problem out.

Hours later I finally hung up with this guy completely exhausted and irate. Let me start by saying I haven't used a Magellan. Let me continue by saying I probably won't, based on what I read in these forums. Just in the past month, I've read complaints about Magellan not filling rebates, about them lying to customers about cracked cases, about firmware updates that add stupid features to units. Gps is not work. Now my magellan 1324 roadmate get same problem. Why Magellan do this things to trick customers.

I called into Technical Support on 9-26-13 @ 4:56pm and waited 40 minutes to talk to a nice gal that helped me with my GPS problems of going off on its own. She told me that the cause of my Problem was it needed updating. And that she was going to send me the map update to my email address for me to download. Along with some other download info.
But she never did.
I have 11 Magellan Roadmates and am in your data base.
Sure would like Magellan to follow through with their Offer to update my Unit.

Hi, Still No Answer since September 15th
I am unable to Format the Device after following your recommendations - using the ports at the Back of my Desktop and using another cable.
Your suggestions from Melvin Customer support that I would be able to get refurbished replacement at NO extra Cost if my current device is unable to function properly as recommended.
I have spend too much time trying to resolve this issue of getting GPS Device functioning as it should and not sure how and where this is going to lead me to. I feel instead of getting Refurbished Replacement I should be able to get full Refund of my purchased price.
Please advice what I should be doing next.

My GPS device is wiped! I tried three times August 25,2013 and once today to upgrade my Roadmate 2230T-LM to Map Version 53, and it gets to 90% of upgrade #3 before it states an error occurred and asks if I want to retry or cancel. Yesterday, I canceled the operation and when I needed it: Nothing was available!
Whats going on?
