Prof G Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education – Hyderabad is situated at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Encouraged by the response and success of UG, PG programmes and responding to local and global demands by taking advantage of innovations in Information Technologies, Prof G Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education – Hyderabadhas introduced CD and Web based Modular Certificate Courses. During 2001-2002 the courses introduced were: Master of Information Systems & E-Commerce (MISEC), Advanced Diploma in Bio-Informatics, PG Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management, Modular Certificate Courses in Information Systems, Computers and Soft and Professional skills. To be the premier institution that offers teaching and learning programmes of the best quality, graduate students who excel and become leaders in the chosen profession contributing to the community, the nation and the world, and prepares individuals of the highest moral fiber.
A reference library is set up at the Centre with relevant books, journals and periodicals for the benefit of the students of Prof G Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education – HyderabadEducation without provision for lending. There are more than 10,000 reference books on various topics, 25 journals and periodicals are available for the benefit of the distance learners. Computer laboratories facilitating our state-of-art computer courses like Master in Computer Applications, Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications, Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems, and other certificate courses (to be introduced soon) are equipped with high-end systems and Licensed Softwares. We also have the Internet facility which is being provided through 128 Kbps DSL Line connected to a 642L series Router.
Prof G Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education – Hyderabadextends its lectures in the form of Audio and Video media. It has established separate halls for Audio and Video with required equipment and furniture. There are around 2500 Video lessons and 700 Audio Cassette lessons available on different subjects / topics for the benefit of the distance learners of various courses. At the time of the Contact-cum-Correspondence programme / Week-end class programme the interested students may visit these halls for their benefit.
