These are not cheap filters and I like the Pur system much better than Brita. Do filters expire unopened or perhaps a bad batch? On May 22nd 2017 I purchased your PUR Water Faucet Filtration system and after about two months I had problems with it. It leaked out the bottom, then just last week it water it started to leak out of the attachment to my faucet. It is as tight as It is as tight as I could make it This is the worst PUR faucet filtration system I have ever purchased I have tried to reach your customer service number several times and either there is no answer or it hangs up on me My model PFM 400H or PFM 450S or PFM 470S. Hello I really hate to complain, but we have purchased the Pur Water Filter system two times now along with the refills however we do not even make it through the first filter before the canister that the filter goes in cracks and we have to go buy another one the last one just cracked a couple days ago and I at this point am not going to purchase another system from pur unless I get a resolution to the problem. I have a one gallon PUR stage two water dispenser that I broke the tap on. I called customer service and they advised me that they do not sell replacement parts for my unit. It is a snap in piece that would take 30 seconds to replace. I now have to shop for a new unit. Rest assured, it will not be a PUR product or any other brand that does not sell replacement parts for their products. It was a great unit for over a year, but at $50 dollars a pop plus the price of filters for a year, it is not worth that expense to me. I will also be posting this in any reviews that I have the opportunity to do. It is ridiculous to sell a product that has individual parts that are unavailable.

I purchased filters for the two 1/2 gallon countertop container. These filters have been terrible. The first filter was fine, the last three have been a waste of my money. They do not empty the top resevoir. Ever. After the fifth or sixth use they barely filter any water at all. So far I have had to throw two away after a half dozen uses and the last one is proving to be as much of a disappointment. I have never had this happen with your filters before and I have used them for years, but they are too expensive to keep throwing them away with barely any usage. Have used Pur faucet mount filters for over ten years. The older models were a pain to put on, but worked as planned. When I needed a new one I bought it at Costco, and it didn't need all the mounting hardware--just snaps on. Sounded like progress. But the indicator light to show when it is still good or when it needs replacement stopped working after just two months. Not good, since my previous filter mounts worked for a few years each. That same mount now slows the water pressure stream in both the on and off positions. (Curiously, it I set it in between on and off, the water pressure returns). I still have five replacement filters. Please should send me a new filter unit. Mine was the "brushed nickel color.
