Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu popularly known as IMS, is a pioneer private Institute established in the year 1997. The Mission of the Institute is to produce Managers with global perspective. The endeavour is to prepare men and women with strong conceptual foundation backed by practical insight and awareness of the need for initiative and leadership to meet career opportunities.
The Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI) aims at promotion and advancement of Technical and Professional Education of highest standard. The Group of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu was founded in 1993 by Er. Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal - Chairman. The other associated members and trustees Shri Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman and Er. Mrs Renu Bangroo, have also contributed their might for the noble cause. The group comprises two trusts namely ‘Jamwal Educational Trust’ and ‘Tawi Educational Trust’. The former was established in 1995 and the latter in 1996 respectively.

Provide all that may help students to achieve professional excellence and develop their full potential to become mature and responsible members of the society. Vision of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu envisages producing such dynamic professionals in Business, Industry and Teaching who are alive to social and cultural diversity, owe responsibility to ethical and moral standards and have concern for environment. Thus, these professions with global awareness, by their own intrinsic worth, shall be in demand and thereby names of the educational institutions managed by the Group become synonymous with excellence. Computer Centre of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu has become a way of life. No successful manager or entrepreneur can survive without extensive use of computer. The Institute has, therefore, created advanced Computer Laboratories equipped with Pentium-IV & Core-2 Duo systems and latest software packages. The students have easy access to the facilities of laboratories to enable them to acquire working as well as specialized knowledge of computer in their managerial activities. Internet facility is also available to enable the students to lay hands on latest information in the fields of their interest. Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu offers different bachelor and master courses leading to different streams.
Library of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu is the soul of every Institution of higher learning. The College Library has on its shelves latest textbooks and reference books on Management subjects. It subscribes to various National & International Journals, Magazines and national / local dailies. The environment provided in the library is excellent and quite conducive for long sittings. Audio Visual Aids of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu in order to make teaching-learning process more meaningful, the Institute has procured overhead Projectors, LCD Projectors, T.V., V.C.R. and Video Films on Management topics. A Xerox Machine is also available in the library and students have access to Photostat facilities on concessional rate.
Learning and Teaching facility of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu aims at development of skills and decision-making capacity in the individual. The treatment of subject, both fundamental and theory, is provided by the faculty through formal lectures, panel discussions, practical problem solving sessions, case studies, project work / summer training, brain storming sessions, Audio-Visual Aids etc. Students are free to raise specific issues and share their experience. Classrooms of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu have air-conditioned classrooms fitted with LCD Projectors and other audio-visual aids. Guests Lectures, Seminar and Workshops of Institute of Management Sciences – IMS Jammu besides the regular faculty, the Institutes draws upon the experience of guest faculty from Industry, University & Corporate sector. The Institute keeps on organising seminars and workshops on various topics with the help of prominent knowledge leaders from different fields.
