Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences started General Nursing and Midwifery Course in January 2004 with an intake of 20 students. KIMS School of Nursing – Thiruvananthapuram is recognized by the Kerala Nurses and Midwifery Council and Indian Nursing Council. Presently KIMS School of Nursing – Thiruvananthapuram is functioning with 86 students.
Purpose of KIMS School of Nursing – Thiruvananthapuram of the General Nursing Programme is to prepare general nurse who will function as member of the health team beginning with competencies for first level Position in both hospital and community.
